Hawzah News Agency- The remarks were made as a delegation representing Ayatollah Alireza Arafi, director of Iran's Islamic seminaries, continued its mission in Iraq by meeting with the head of the Hashd al-Sha'abi committee in Diwaniyah province. The visit forms part of a broader field assessment of international missionary activities during the Arbaeen pilgrimage season.
Hojatoleslam Alizadeh, head of the director's office at the seminaries' headquarters, underscored the pivotal role of the Popular Mobilization Forces in defending Iraqi sovereignty and confronting hegemonic powers.
"Hashd al-Sha'abi stands at the forefront of the struggle against global arrogance, the United States, and the Zionist regime," Alizadeh stated. "By divine grace, the future belongs to the resistance front, and final victory will be achieved by the mujahideen walking this sacred path."
He further emphasized the unbreakable bonds uniting the Iranian and Iraqi nations, noting that the blood of martyrs—particularly those of the resistance front—has forged an alliance stronger than ever before.
"Today, thanks to the sacrifices of our martyrs, Iran and Iraq stand shoulder to shoulder, united in heart and purpose, more than at any other time in history," Alizadeh declared.
'Resistance Will Triumph'
The seminary official went on to frame the Iran-Iraq partnership within the broader context of the Axis of Resistance confronting Western and Israeli expansionism in the region. He stressed that the Arbaeen pilgrimage itself serves as a living embodiment of this unity, drawing millions across borders in a collective rejection of tyranny and oppression.
"Every step taken by the pilgrims of Imam Hussein (PBUH) is a step against the forces of arrogance," Alizadeh added. "The Arbaeen march is not merely a religious ritual; it is a political statement, a declaration that the Ummah will never bow to domination."
'Service to Pilgrims, Strengthening the Resistance'
Welcoming the Iranian delegation, the head of the Hashd al-Sha'abi committee in Diwaniyah expressed deep appreciation for the visit and reaffirmed the profound fraternal relations binding Baghdad and Tehran.
He stressed the unwavering commitment of the Popular Mobilization Forces to ensuring the security and well-being of Arbaeen pilgrims, while reiterating Hashd al-Sha'abi's steadfast role in fortifying the resistance axis against all forms of foreign interference and occupation.
"Our cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran is anchored in shared faith, shared sacrifice, and a shared destiny," the Iraqi commander said. "We will continue this path—serving the pilgrims of Aba Abdillah al-Hussein (PBUH) and defending the sanctities of this nation—until the full liberation of occupied lands and the final defeat of the enemies of Islam."
The meeting concluded with both sides pledging to deepen coordination on all fronts, from pilgrimage logistics to the broader ideological and military struggle against imperialist forces, reaffirming that the blood of martyrs Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis remain the guiding light of the resistance movement.
